Here at The Golden Basket, we raise standard F1 goldendoodles.
Health of our dogs is my top priority. Parent dogs are DNA tested and cleared for breeding. We feed our adult dogs and puppies 4 Strong Paws dog food which uses locally sourced, quality ingredients to provide our dogs with a complete and balanced meal that will exceed their nourishment requirements. In addition, we give them a NuVet supplement every day which boosts the immune system and provides free radical protection. Also included in their feeding schedule is Juru gut support for a healthy gut and E oil for healthy skin and coat. Our dogs have annual vet visits and we always keep them up to date on all the recommended vaccinations. Our goal is to send home puppies in optimal health!
Early socialization is crucial to the development of the puppies and this is why, between days 3 and 16, I do ENS (Early Neurological Stimulation) and ESI (Early scent Introduction). Pups go home with their first vaccinations, health record, dewormed several times, probiotics, sample NuVet supplement, scented blanket, microchipped, and a one-year health guarantee. My vet gives each pup a nose to tail check before they go home with you. Puppies are expected to mature between 50 – 75 pounds. Their coats are considered low shedding rather than non shedding.

Breeder will take every effort to guarantee that every puppy from The Golden Basket is in good health at the time of adoption. Because breeder cannot control the exposure of the puppy after it leaves, they ask that buyer have their new puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within three days (72 hours) of acquiring your puppy. If the puppy fails this health exam, buyer agrees to bring the puppy back to The Golden Basket within 48 hours of the vet visit for a full refund of the purchase price. If the buyer fails do this, this guarantee is void. Breeder and buyer agree that any and all expenses incurred by this puppy are the sole responsibility of the buyer after the purchase date. Breeder will not send a puppy home until they are certain that it is ready for the trip, and has passed a veterinary health inspection, has had age appropriate vaccinations and worming, and is free from all illness.[at 8 weeks of age]. Breeder will send puppies health certificate along with the puppy. Buyer agrees to spay or neutered this puppy within one year of purchase date and agrees not to breed with this puppy/dog. Breeder warrants the genetic health of the puppy for the first 12 months of life against hereditary illnesses i.e. Heart, Liver, Kidney failure, Hip and Elbow Dysplasia, or any life altering genetic illness that affects the puppy or dog. If a replacement puppy is deemed necessary due to one of the above illnesses, the replacement will be made for the same value of the previous puppy or a refund up to seventy-five percent of the purchase price of the puppy. Buyer must submit, to the breeder, all paperwork along with a letter from a licensed veterinarian, and DNA, CERF and/or OFA stating the type of genetic illness/sickness that the puppy is exhibiting in order to determine if a replacement is to be made to buyer. In case of a death due to an unknown cause, an autopsy must be preformed by a licensed veterinarian and a copy of the report sent to the breeder before any replacement or refund will be made. All expenses i.e. autopsy, licensed veterinarian, DNA, Penn Hip, and OFA bills will be the expense of buyer. Breeder does not warrant against infectious contagious illnesses such as but not limited to Canine Infectious Respiratory Disease Complex (CIRDC), Leptospirosis, Canine Parovirus, Coccidiosis, or Giardia. These infectious contagious diseases can be present and picked up in any environment, and have been proactively safeguarded against with probiotics, vaccinations, de-worming, and sanitary protocols at The Golden Basket, therefore we have little control over them after the puppy has left our facility. Puppies and small dogs are sensitive to cool drafts and could get an infection. They are also very susceptible to hypoglycemia [low blood sugar]. Puppies can go through high stress during moves to new homes, changes in diet, as well as too much handling by new owners, this can bring on parasites that can be dormant such as but not limited to, worms and ear mites. Every effort has been made by the breeder to guard against these types of problems. These conditions are treatable and do not warrant a return or exchange of puppy. Small puppies and dogs are very fragile, and every precaution should be taken when handling them. This guarantee is not applicable for accidental injury to a puppy. Canine Malocclusion (misaligned teeth), minor (grade I or II) heart murmurs, and umbilical hernias are things The Golden Basket strives to eradicate, but presents from time to time. These and their affects are not covered by this warranty. These conditions, if present will be noted to the buyer at time of purchase. While breeder will make a good faith effort to estimate the size and colour of the puppy based on past litters and size of the parents, breeder does not and cannot guarantee size, or colour, of a puppy. The Golden Basket presents our puppies as loving pets, and have expended a lot of love, care, and time prior to the puppies adoption. Buyer should be well prepared to continue that same loving care. By signing below, the breeder and buyer agree to the terms as described above.
